ROC Assembly

We had a cool assembly this afternoon.  A group out of Provo Utah called ROC, Remembering Our Culture, came and performed for us.  They sang and danced showing us dances from cultures of their ancesters.  They taught us that it is important to learn who you are and to be proud of that heritage.  Our students came by very excited by the wonderful assembly they had just seen.

They have a website.  Click it out!
Their group members come from all over the world: South America, Philippines, Japan, Korea, China, Native America, Mexico, Africa, the Polynesian Islands, and the Mediterranean Sea; among many other beautiful places. They are a very diverse group of individuals here to show others how they unite through song and dance; and that by learning from others we all learn more about ourselves.
Note to parents: If you are interested, they also have a MySpace Page.
