For this past term, we have been involved in peer tutoring with the first grade. My class was assigned to work with Mrs. Tew's students. Each first grade was paired up with, at least one four grade student. The fourth grade were taught tutoring skills from Mrs. Janet Lee. They worked for about 30 minutes four days a week with their tutees! They had a good time working together. The fourth grade worked hard and I am proud of the success that the first graders had with their great help. I think it may have helped some of our fluency as well! It will be hard to see it end in just two more weeks.
